CoaXPress is a leading communication standard for high-speed imaging applications in professional and industrial markets.  The success of CoaXPress is due to its ease of use, high bandwidth capability, reliability over longer cable distances, and the ability to have power over the cable.  The interface is robust yet simple which makes it a great solution for many machine vision applications.

As CoaXPress (CXP) is adapted and improved upon, the interface has transitioned to create a new, feature-rich version called CoaXPress 2.0. This new standard improves on many of the V1.1.1 capabilities and offers backwards compatibility. CoaXPress 2.0 is capable of increased speeds up to 12.5 Gb/s over a single cable. With the increased data rate, it is necessary to have a state-of-the-art frame grabber suitable for the high-speed CXP-12 throughput.
