At the SPIE DSS 2015, we demonstrated our rugged CCD (TMX7-DHD) and CMOS (TMX74) cameras. The performance is compared live in full light and then low light when the cover is closed.
CCD versus CMOS Today
The proliferation of mission critical imaging systems in recent years is a result of heightened security concerns and intensified surveillance at airports, seaports, in cities, at borders, in warzones, etc. Long-range observation and designator systems have been installed on permanent and mobile platforms to provide 24-hour surveillance and early warning detection.
Adimec along with several partners has been awarded two new projects for advancing CMOS image sensor technology: CISTERN and EXIST. Both programs begin in April/May 2015 and will be completed in 2018.
With how good the latest industrial CMOS image sensors have gotten, it might seem that a camera just simply connects the image sensor to an interface.
Move from analog to digital
For the past few weeks we have provided some updates on the performance of the latest CCD and CMOS industrial image sensors. We have compiled this information into a presentation. Check it out…
Jochem Herrmann, co-founder and Chief Scientist of the Dutch camera manufacturer Adimec is the new President of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) as announced at the EMVA General Assembly in Athens this week.
