Adimec adds the CMV12000 image sensor to the QUARTZ CMOS-based high-speed camera series, the new 12 Megapixel, 66 fps Q-12A65 machine vision camera.
This camera was previously available for evaluation at a select group of customers and is now commercially available within our standard product offering. By using the evaluation feedback, Adimec tuned and improved the Q-12A65 to be the ideal machine vision camera for demanding inspection and complex metrology systems. The result is a stable and reliable camera that excels in delivering highly uniform images with linear response. The Q-12A65 is a 12 megapixel CMOS global shutter camera and delivers images of 4096 x 3072 pixels at 66 frames per second (fps). It is equipped with the Camera Link deca interface but also supports full configurations. The high sensitivity and superb shutter performance of the CMV12000 image sensor enables excellent performance in light-starved and high-speed applications.
As with other members of the QUARTZ family, the new camera offers a range of quality-enhancing features. It includes Adimec’s Active Sensor Control with local as well as global advanced Flat Field Correction (FFC) capabilities, even in color and with field calibration support. The camera has special additional functions such as for signal-to-noise adjustments with up to 12 dB shot noise improvement compared to off-the-shelf CMV12000 sensor performance. It also offers an HDR mode for wide dynamic range scene capture.
