We are proud of reaching the 20 year milestone this month. It is a time for us to reflect on the past and use this to plan for a successful future. For our customers, suppliers, and employees, Adimec’s 20 year anniversary means innovations without risks.
20 years is several lifetimes for technology. For instance, since 1992, we have seen the evolution and then obsolescence of compact discs. Or this is what a state-of-the-art mobile phone looked like in 1992:
1992 Motorola International 3200
The first digital hand-size mobile telephone. (http://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2009/05/the-evolution-of-cell-phone-design-between-1983-2009/)
In industrial imaging, the past 20 years has seen digitization and dramatic sensor innovations that have greatly increased the options for possible camera solutions. We have been provided with fast CMOS sensors, FPGAs that enable complex digital operations in the camera and new digital interfaces from Camera Link to most recently CoaXPress.
Our 20 year anniversary is a nice occasion to look back at what brought us this far. Since Adimec was founded, continuity has been the key factor. Our three founders, all shareholders, are still involved in the company. Just Smit works in Strategic Marketing and sits on the Supervisory Board; Jochem Herrmann serves as Chief Scientist; Bas Heijn is System Engineer. Having fun has always been an important element to achieve this continuity. We enjoy solving technical challenges, and we are proud of what we achieve.
Our focus on continuity has enabled us to establish sophisticated, solid procedures while taking advantage of fast advances in technology. This provides our customers with constant innovations without risks in quality or company stability.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our employees, customers, distributors, and partners for their support and commitment over the years!
