Our high-end cameras are used worldwide in demanding applications where quality and precision are essential. Due to our strong growth, we are expanding our team and are looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineer with expertise in microcontrollers.

In this role, you will work on the heart of our cameras: the user interface, video pipeline, sensor control, and image generation. You will bring the functionality to life in our embedded systems and work closely with fellow engineers from various disciplines. What will you do as an Embedded Firmware Engineer?

  • Programming and developing firmware for our FPGAs.
  • Translating product specifications into design, implementation, verification, and test plans.
  • Developing in VHDL using HDL Designer on AMD FPGAs (Ultrascale+ family), among others.
  • Verifying in UVVM using Questasim.
  • Designing efficient FPGA building blocks for video processing and interfaces.
  • Verifying performance within the design phase, release processes, and production (CI/CD).
  • Contributing to modular development and product improvement.
  • Collaborating closely with project management and fellow engineers within a multidisciplinary team.

What do you bring?

  • Experience in embedded firmware development (FPGAs).
  • A completed higher professional or university degree, for example in Embedded Systems, Digital Design, Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics, or similar.
  • At least 5 years of experience (5–8 years preferred).
  • High quality standards for both your own work and that of the team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to involve colleagues in project progress.
  • Experience with the following is a plus:
    • the AMD ecosystem
    • UVVM
    • Python
    • Linux OS
    • C++
    • Affinity with video technology and knowledge of imaging sensors.
