This week we completed extensive qualification and the latest member of the CMOS-based QUARTZ series, the Q-12A65, is now in volume production. The Q-12A65 has been designed into several instruments and is now commercially available to allow equipment manufacturers to take the next required performance leap in accuracy and throughput.
The Q-12A65 camera is based on the CMOSIS CMV12000 image sensor and is a 12 Megapixel CMOS global shutter camera that delivers images of 4096 x 3072 pixels at 66 frames per second (fps). It is equipped with the Camera Link interface supporting all formats from base (2-Tap) to Medium (4-Tap), Full (8-Tap) and Deca (10-tap). Sensitivity and high shutter performance of the CMV12000 image sensor enables excellent performance in light-starved and high-speed applications that are commonly applied in electronics inspection and semiconductor metrology.
Because of technical specifications of the camera including Active Sensor Control (ASC) and Adimec’s expertise embedding cameras into systems, several medical and machine vision customers have chosen the Q-12A65 for their latest innovations. For detailed specifications of these cameras, click here.
With the transition of the Q-12A65 from R&D to high volume manufacturing, Adimec also created innovative and automated camera assembly capabilities to ensure consistent and reliable performance of every camera. “With the newly released Q-12A65, Adimec has implemented an in-house developed, operator independent sensor positioning system, guaranteeing the best-in-class repeatability and reproducibility on sensor accuracy and thus camera performance.” says Peter Laros, Director of Operations.
The QUARTZ series includes 2 MP options and 4 MP models in addition to the latest 12 Megapixel model.
